What is Anorexia?
Anorexia is an eating disorder diagnosed via psychiatric evaluation that presents with deceptive behavior. Like many disorders of its kind, many patients suffering from anorexia are not initially aware that they are developing the disorder. Only after the presentation of symptoms related to the disorder is a diagnosis reached. Anorexia is commonly known as a disease that makes the individual feel isolated and alone. Studies have linked the disorder to mood patterns that influence unhealthy eating behaviors.
