What is Depression

Depression is a common and serious disorder that can impair a person’s life immensely and cause a lot of emotional distress. Depression is frequently known as an emotional state that consists of sadness and misery that can reduce the normal levels of energy and motivation which can last for many days, months, or even years. Depression has some unnoticeable symptoms which leaves an immense amount of people suffering in silence because they are unaware of what to do and where to get help. Even though treatments are evidently available, studies have concluded that some people who suffer do not receive any form of treatment and ultimately live or die with depression. Thus, there are multiple symptoms, types of depressions, and risk factors that are attributed with depression.
