About the Author
C. Laine Sequeira is an Executive Administrative student at Sheridan College. During the advancement of the program, she discovered a special interest in attention disorders and was atonished at the lack of concrete and coherent information about the disorder. While submerged in extensive research, she decided to organize all credible information, with the help of expert medical professionals in the field and individuals with ADHD to provide any self-educating party a credible one-stop-shop for all things ADHD. This website explores the historical journey of the ADHD diagnosis, current information about the disorder, and the controversial treatments practised on and by individuals with the disorder. Ms. Sequeira hopes that this website can provide not only information about ADHD but also inspire support for further research and education about the disorder. ADHD has been through a painful yet necessary evolution, but there is still a great deal more that needs to be uncovered. There are no two people with the same condition, as is the condition of living. However, learning about its history, keeping up with the current information, and understanding the perspectives within the controversial treatment options, is the first step to reaching beyond the habit of difference, separation, and ignorance.
