In the Canadian history, there are many famous legendary people. In my mind, many Canadians still revere such an incredible Canadian whose immense contribution to the society one stands out among the rest. He has become the poster personality who can prevail any impediment and conquer misfortune which is conspicuous in his path. Moreover, he is an inspirational figure to Canadians since he is a real manifestation of the spirit of Canadians that is often seen in the modern world. His name is Terry Fox, who has given Canada a true role model and has revealed that Canadians are full of heart and undying determination.
Terry Fox hailed from Winnipeg, Manitoba although he was raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia and was born in 1958. He was a very active teenager and was engaged in many sports until in 1977 at the age of 18 when he was diagnosed with bone cancer. As a result, his arm was amputated six inches above the knee. However, Terry Fox was not going to give up, but he set a higher goal that he dearly wanted to accomplish.
