Introduction

AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome), caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), has affected millions of lives worldwide since its discovery. Although medical advances have significantly improved treatment outcomes, AIDS continues to pose public health, social, and educational challenges.

The stigma surrounding the illness, limited access to treatment, and the need for ongoing awareness campaigns remain critical concerns. This paper explores these issues through reliable academic sources.

Conclusion

AIDS continues to challenge public health systems despite decades of awareness and medical advancements. While antiretroviral treatments have drastically improved outcomes, social stigma, misinformation, and unequal access to care remain obstacles. Increasing awareness, reducing discrimination, and ensuring access to treatment for all are essential next steps in the global effort to end AIDS. Through education, healthcare improvements, and inclusive policies, progress can continue.
