Introduction
It
is humans who release acid rain containing harmful amounts of sulfuric
and nitric acids which can seriously harm nature. Once industrial growth
began, the increase in smokestacks from power plants, factories and cars
caused more sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) to enter the
air. This is why there has been an increase in acid deposition
(Grennfelt et al., 2020). It looks at the sources of acid rain, the
effects it has on the environment and buildings and the methods
scientists use to minimize it.
