Nowadays, producers use pesticides to produce more fruits and
vegetables to gain high profits from their production. Still, at the
same time they are playing with human and environmental resources.
The poor regulation of pesticide usage increases the risk as their
easy availability in the market also makes them a popular method of
self-harm. Numerous people are dying each year because of
self-poisoning by pesticides which are highly used in agricultural
practices as compared to industrialization. It causes acute
fatalities, while severe poisoning requires immediate medical
attention. Paraquat and aluminum phosphide are rising issues in many
nations with high fatality rates of over 60%, whereas other
pesticides are less toxic and cause fewer deaths and can be treated.
With time, herbicides, glyphosate, and neonicotinoid insecticides
are the newer pesticides that are widely used. To better understand
pesticides, knowing more about their types and impacts on human
health and the environment is essential. This project will cover all
the important concepts regarding chemical substances.
