Smog
The smog phenomenon has been worse over the past
several years because of the environment becoming more and more polluted
because of the formation of numerous factories, excessive traffic,
remarkable construction work, and unrestricted tree cutting owing to
urbanisation. 5 On the other side, the farmers' burn of crop waste is
the primary cause of smog in New Delhi. There are no trace amounts of
pollution since even minute quantities of ozone are harmful. 7 Although
the ozone layer higher in the stratosphere shields against ultraviolet
radiation, it is a pollutant at ground level and its persistently high
floor levels may permanently harm lung tissue. 8 Smog does not cause
allergies, but it does aggravate the lungs, aggravate asthma, and make
breathing difficult.
