Inequality of Economic Justice

Introduction

Orange Shirts

Economic injustices have impacted many groups of people throughout history. In Canada, First Nations, Inuit and Metis people, people living with disabilities, people of African descent, and people who are considered working class, are some of the people who have faced systemic challenges--which have led to persistent poverty.

People affected by economic inequalities are:

  1. First Nations, Inuit and Metis people
  2. People living with disabilities
  3. People of African descent
  4. Working class

Many of these economic injustices stem from royal edicts and policies that are centuries old and which still shape the economic inequalities that impact many of us in the 21st century.
