InserAlternative fuel and hybrid vehicles are a category that has a wide range of different types of technology. This paragraph will explain the different types of vehicles.

  1. Vehicles that run on rechargeable batteries or fuel cells are called electric vehicles (EVs). EVs include cars and motorcycles.
  2. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles convert hydrogen gas into electricity to power the vehicle.
  3. Hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs) combine internal combustion engines with electric propulsion systems.
  4. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) can be charged externally and operate on both electricity and gasoline.

The last type of alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles are biofuel-powered vehicles. Biofuel-powered vehicles utilize renewable sources such as ethanol or biodiesel as alternative fuels. These different types of vehicles reflect the diverse landscape of environmentally friendly transportation options, each with its unique characteristics and challenges.
