ADHD
symptoms can come both in childhood and adulthood. In school, those who
have ADHD symptoms academically underachieve compared to those who are
non-ADHD, and those who experience these symptoms typically are likely
to repeat a grade, be suggested to go for special education services, be
suspended from school, and drop out of school. Additionally, children
who suffer from this tend to make fewer relationships with others, but
when they do it tends to last a short period of time, and this leads to
lowered self-esteem which then is likely to continue in adulthood with
an increased chance of drug and substance abuse or more likely to
develop mental diseases.
