Protecting Nature for Future Generations

Introduction

The Earth's natural systems are under too much strees from human activity, which make it more difficult for nature to adjust to changes. According to research on climate change, human influence is surpassing the ability of the environment in various respects. The increasing amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which rose from 280 parts per million prior to the industrial era to 389ppm by 2011, is one significant problem. Burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas and altering how we use land, for example by converting forests into parking lots or buildings are the main reason of this increase. The issue is becomes worse by unsustainable farming, which makes nature's recovery even more difficult.
