Social media has a positive impact on people. Mesfin Awoke Bekalu and Rachel F. McCloud concluded in a 2020 Harvard study that routine daily use of social media positively linked with “three health-related outcomes: social well-being, positive mental health, and self-rated health.”

Social media provides a platform to show talent like dancing, singing, art, crafting which influence other people to achieve same goals. Moreover, social media group-chats and documents sharing help people in problem-solving, finding content and achieve common goals.

 facilitating professional networking

By using social media platforms people can interact with individuals with better ideas. They can talk with people from different countries which is not possible without social media. People can explore new ideas, expression and viewpoints which will be beneficial for professional networking.

 fostering social awareness and educational opportunities

There are so many tools online to learn anything, learning any skill is so easier online because there is no partiality based on background, appearance and place of residence. We can explore educational opportunities foe free and can change language according to our convenience.
Social problems can be discussed worldwide through social media and there can better solutions in every corner of world. Solutions can be discussed, and people can take decision for whatever suits for society.

Negative aspects

Sometime social media is used in wrong way. Some negative impacts are:

In simple words posting a person’s name address. Email and telling number without person’s permission on social media.

Addiction

According to the Addiction Center, social media addiction is not yet a formally diagnosed condition that damages a user's psychological well-being, but it is sufficiently recognized to be treatable and covered by some insurance providers.
