Introduction
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease in which body's immune system is targeted along with the central nervous system. Main areas that this disease damages includes brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. This disease involves episodic disability which means that severity and duration of the symptoms can vary from person to person.
Talking about how this disease affect, it attacks myelin-protective covering of the nerves, and cause swelling and damage to the myelin. Myelin is a substance that is crucial for the transmission of nerve impulses through nerve fibres. Severity in damage to myelin can cause complete disrupt in nerve impulses and the fibres themselves can also be damaged.
