There are
many ways by which we can protect ourselves and our personal information
from theft.

Use
strong passwords:
Avoid using the same password or your name, birth date as password

Phishing:
Always Verify all emails to ensure they are from trusted sources
before opening them. Use security software like anti-virus on mobile
device to detect virus (Arachchilage & Love, 2014).

public Wi-Fi for banking or shopping: Avoid
using public Wi-Fi as hacker can set fake wi-fi network to see what
you are doing and hack your phone.
If you are using public wi-fi to stay safe avoid opening your
banking app or entering any sensitive data (Watts, 2016)
- Turn on two-factor authentication: Use face id or strong password for your phone and other important apps like online banking.
