Community Impact
The World Anti-Doping Agency has
created many policies and procedures in order to prevent doping sports.
The WADA code can be seen on their website
wada-ama.org (n.a 2021). We
have seen in many different sports when doping has been exposed players
have received penalties, banns and suspensions. These disciplinary
actions have taken place in the Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones and Nadezhda Sergeeva Cases. In all situation a banned was put in place as
well as medals revoked for any wins while PEDs were in use (n.a, 2022).
In terms of the audience there is mixed feeling some viewers may know
about doping and care but other may eel deeply affected by finding out
doping was done by their favorite model.
