How to Prevent Identity Theft

Some ways to prevent from Identity Theft are:

  1. Don't click or open any emails that you do not know who the sender is

  2. Check bank balances daily

  3. Avoid giving away personal information over text messages or phone calls unless you know the business

  4. Never give SIN number to anyone

  5. Never tell or show anyone banking PIN

  6. Avoid using public ATMs

  7. Change your passwords often and never the same

  8. Be aware of using public wifi to enter passwords that contains personal information   

  9. Make sure you have anti-virus on computer to keep you safe from viruses

  10. Use strong passwords. Combining letters, numbers, and special characters.
