Causes:
There are many causes that can contribute in climate change; for example, human activities. Imagine an overheat car as well as how people driving, a meal and what they eat, and someone with a fever and the way we behave. According to (climatic change and its impacts, 2023, p. 1), human activities are the main reason of changes in the climate since the nineteenth century, mostly due to the use of fossil fuels like oil, gas, and fossil fuels.
The other source is greenhouse gas emissions. It is commonly understood that the usage of fossil fuels generates greenhouse gases emission which cover the world. absorbing the heat from the sun and boosting temperatures.
According to Harvard Professor John P. Holdren, past president of the American Association for Advancement of Science, "it is a prescription for disaster." Nonetheless, a 2019 UN study stated that, In spite of several governments' efforts to lower them, greenhouse emissions have continued to rise at a concerning rate, increasing by an average of 1.5% every year over the last decade.
For instance, the greenhouse gases emissions that contribute to climate change include CO2 as well as methane, which are generated by the combustion of petrol to drive a vehicle or carbon used to heat a building. Landfills also emit methane, and energy, business, transportation, structures, agriculture, and land use are some of the major emitters. Furthermore, the breakdown of disposed of organic waste produces methane emissions, which contribute significantly to global climate change.
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) issued a paper titled "Livestock's Long Shadow." According to (Brook and Schwartz, 2020, p. 4), animal agriculture accounts for approximately 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming.
As we can see, human’s activities have exacerbated and accelerated the horrible pollution of the environment and warming of the planet, both of which have a severe impact on our lives and health.
