Health Effects
Smoking
contains toxic chemicals that damage the body and lead to serious
diseases. Long-term smoking increases the risk of cancer, heart disease,
stroke, and other cardiovascular conditions. Nicotine also raises blood
pressure and causes addiction.

Vaping devices deliver nicotine through aerosol that contains harmful substances. These chemicals can irritate the lungs, damage lung tissue, and negatively affect heart health. Exposure to ultrafine particles may lead to lung inflammation and breathing problems.
Nicotine use is especially harmful to youth, as it affects brain development, reduces cognitive function, and increases the risk of long-term addiction. Although vaping may contain fewer toxins than cigarettes, it is not risk-free, and its long-term effects are still unknown.
