Future
According to the source, the future of nuclear energy is
dependent on strong leadership and international cooperation. Prior
to the Fukushima accident, there was widespread agreement on nuclear
power's role in fighting climate change, with several reactors
planned or under construction. However, following Fukushima, many
governments delayed or reconsidered their nuclear strategies. To
reestablish trust and grow nuclear energy as a viable, low-carbon
energy source, we need transparent rules, strong safety measures,

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency
(IAEA), Vienna, Yukiya Amano, recently delivered the Silver Jubilee
Lecture of the Indian Nuclear Society (INS) in Mumbai on
"Perspectives on future of nuclear energy." The visitors were
greeted by INS Vice President V. Venugopal.
