Traditions manage to resist to development, to modification, to change and to anything that threatens a shift. Consequently, we also find such opposition with the self-representation occurrence, and in this setting, the entities/parties involved are professionals who establish rules, laws, processes, and judgments.
It is challenging to enforce the legal action to self-represent as there is the belief that the self-help phenomenon also threatens the financial livelihood of lawyers.
The courts and the bar should work together to smother this phenomenon and force all parties in family cases to do what is obviously in their best interests – hire lawyers to handle their cases in the traditional way.
The battle is evident, but the right rests on the person to decide.
