- Difficulty in engaging in conversation
- Reduced participation in activities and discussions related to interests and feelings
- Behaviours
- Repetitive body movements
- Unusual sensitivity to sounds, lights, textures, smells, or pain
- A strong preference for the same routine with difficulty changing it

The presence of some symptoms or signs in an individual does not necessarily mean that this person has autism. A diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder requires qualified specialists and behavioural therapists who apply established specific diagnostic criteria
